The first two panels of this comic are a perfect example of the limitations I was working under back in Cosmos' old-school era: my imagination was forced to squash itself into a pretty rigidly-defined comic strip template, where the average panel (unless I deliberately made it a centimeter or so wider) was only 6.5 cm wide by 8.5 cm high; and all four panels had to fit across one sheet of A4 paper, landscape-orientation. As such, the above epic two-panel superhero slugfest had to be packed into half the necessary space it needed, AND share that space with multiple lines of scale-not-negotiable dialogue - yikes! Still, I managed to keep the action somewhat coherent and comprehensible, and fit an admirable number of battlin' bozos into the frame around the visibly-panicking Macy. And is Daring-Devil seriously trying to kung-fu kick STORM? Yeh, 'cause that's not gonna go horribly wrong for you, DD....
Thankfully, in the new-school era, I can make the panels as big as I damn well want, fit in even more mind-bogging amounts of detail, and put the dialogue in seperately on Adobe illustrator, where I can scale it to give the art plenty of breathing space! Phew.
