Tah-Dahhhhh! Tony has left the building, but he's just entered.... the third dimension! Seeing all my hard work create the grey-model version of Mr. Corvell was one thing, but adding on all his funky-fresh UV maps really made me think 'Yep, this is it.... I've just taken things to the next level.' At that point in time, it was the pinnacle of what Cosmos had achieved, and something I never thought I'd do (or see) when I started the comic in 1999 - thanks, Tony! Interesting side fact: I'm not sure whether it was some glitch in the UV mapping system, or related to the interface between Illustrator, Photoshop and Maya, but the UV for Tony's sweater kept coming out back to front (i.e, the red vertical stripe and X-Men logo were on the wrong sides) when I applied it; and kept being wrong no matter how many times I took it off and put it back on. The solution? Rather counterintuitively, put them the wrong way around on the actual vector art, and 'trick' Maya into flipping it over os it became the right way around on the model! Yup, gotta love that modern tekinogical stuff....
