Another aspect of winter stories in Cosmos is Peter and Timmy's enthusiasm for creating large, ridiculous and quite frankly impractical 'snow sculptures'; usually taking the form of some form of colosssal mechanoid life form (in this case, Mitsuteru Yokoyama's Giant Robo). One wonders, when you consider the scale of these things, what exactly is holding them together if the primary building material is snow? Have they sprayed it with water to cause it to freeze into ice? Is there some sort of structural framework? Have they somehow convinced an architectural firm that erecting a skeleton of girders and rivets for piggy banks full of pocket money is a firm financial proposition? Or can we just put it down to 'cartoon physics' and be done with it? The lads aren't saying - they certainly haven't ever told me - but I think we can agree that the results should rightly be the envy of scupltural artists everywhere! Just don't smack-talk them, please....
