My thinking on conspiracy theories is this: 'the viability of any conspiracy theory is inversely proportional to the number of individuals and / or organisations allegedly involved in it'. Which makes sense - given that the more people are involved in a decision-making process, the closer you get to a bureaucratic committee.... or an angry mob. And you know how good they are at making rational conclusions.....
