Empire of the Ape is a cheesy Cosmosian TV show from their equivalent of the 1970's; being sort of a mash-up between Planet of the Apes and Irwin Allen's Planet of the Giants. Basically an intrepid crew (from the distant future - 1983!) crash-land on an alien planet ruled by apes.... Giant apes! Cue the mid-TV budget insanity.
